Security Assessments– review applications, business processes and suppliers for adequacy of security controls
Vulnerability Management – review current environment for vulnerability exposure and emerging threats within the Healthcare services sector.
Suspicious Activity Monitoring – Monitor and investigate potential Information Security breaches
Serves as primary security engineer providing day to day management of the internet content filtering system:
(Websense), Patch Management System (WSUS),IDS/IPS,Anti Virus system, Log Management System and Back-Up System. Includes policy management, systems administration and configuration, maintaining the systems noted above, and all underlying hardware, OS, and databases.
Works directly with the Information Security Officers (ISO) to implement appropriate content filtering rules, troubleshooting issues, and assist with agency specific reports.
Proactively identifies or rapidly responds to customer security issues within Service Level Agreements.
Applies extensive technical expertise in the management of security tools and remediation of security events/incidents.
Provide technical assessment of the security impacts from changes to operational networks.
Develop secure network architectures, requirements, operational concepts, and security accreditation plans and procedures.
Work with hardware and software engineers and/or commercial vendors in the selection and evaluation of state-of-the-art secure operating systems, networks, and database products.
Toolkit / Practical Experience
Experience administering Windows Servers Update Services (WSUS) for servers and workstations updates
Experience administering data backup solution as BackupExec
Experience administering data antivirus solutions as Symantec
Experience administering Intrusion Detection and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS/IPS)
Experience administering Firewalls as Watchguard, Snapgear(McAfee), Fortigate or similar
Experience administering web and email filtering solutions as Websense
Experience administering Email Security Solution as Datamotion
Experience with Network traffic analysis tools as Wireshack
Sound Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Objects
Solid understanding/troubleshooting of TCP/IP
Understanding of Citrix
Knowledge of network architectures: LAN, DMZ, WAN
Knowledge of Cisco routing and switching
Knowledge of VPN, IPSec, SSL, TLS, T1, T3
Knowledge of two factor authentication as RSA
Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Must be able to excel in multi-tasked and dynamic environment with extremely tight deadlines.
Experience with the administration of the following tools: Websense, WSUS, Symantec, Veritas, Snort, Fortigate.
Systems Administration experience with Windows server OS.
Previous experience as a Windows systems administrator in a networked environment highly desirable.
Experience with the any of the following applications a plus:Symantec Enterprise level Anti-Virus Solutions, Juniper and Cisco firewall and management tool (NSM/CSM),RSA/ACS/TACACs authentication and access control systems
Must be a Self-starter and have the desire and ability to work independently, with limited supervision
