Description
Our client is a leader in the manufacture of large components for the aerospace and power generation industries. They are currently adding to their already experienced staff of engineers.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate elements of design, materials, and manufacturing & assembly processes for aerospace and power generation components.
- Have the ability to work from the design for a product and develop processes for production, standards, and quality control.
- Experience with Lean Mfg is required
- Develop step-by-step methods for making the products and assembly components
- Recommend changes in the design of a product or assembly to make it easier or less costly to produce
- Confer with management on production capabilities, schedules, and problems.
- This includes direct communications to the aircraft manufacture and or engineering group.
- Determine product specifications
- Work with production to develop schedules, work flow, and work stations

Requirements
- Four Year Degree is Required
- At least 5 years of previous experience within a CNC Machine Shop Environment
- Ability to work with closely with shop floor personnel, CNC Programmers and Senior Management
- Previous experience with exotic alloys
- Must have ability to handle several projects
- Experience working with CNC Machine Tools
- Knowledge of latest cutting tool technology
