ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform daily data administration tasks for the production system
Work closely with the development team to design and implement the database changes associated with new releases of the system
Provide expert consultation to the client
Assist in the performance engineering of the system
Assist in the systems administration tasks for all system environments
Proficient with DB2
QUALIFICATIONS
4+ years of experiencing designing and implementing database management systems using technologies listed above
2+ years of experience in a role where candidate provided technical feedback and recommendations to the Project Mgr and Technical Leads
Prior experience with performing database system administration tasks such as DB2 installs and patches, setting DB2 configuration parameters and performance engineering
Thorough knowledge of database architecture and design
BS/BA in Computer Science or related field
Previous Experience working within financial services,banking, or health care
